What is Personal Coaching? Facing redundancy and trying to work out what to do next? Considering job or career change but lack direction? Work/Life balance out of sync? Stuck in a rut? Ready for Promotion?Want to meet new people but don't know where to start?
Personal Coaching is often referred to as Life Coaching and is a rewarding process that helps you achieve your
full potential in every area of your life whether in a social, personal or business context.
It is likely that you have an idea about what it is you want to do but "haven't quite got round to doing anything
about it" or you may not know where to start. Alternatively you may feel as if you are stuck in a rut and want to
change the way you live your life. Change your mind, change your life.
Personal Coaching sessions give you the space and time to concentrate on all aspects of your life, work out
what you want and help to structure, set and achieve appropriate goals. It closes the gap between thinking
about doing and actually doing.
What can I expect from a Personal Coaching Session?
The initial
session will concentrate on ensuring we both understand your current
situation, where you want to go and what you expect to get out of the
coaching sessions.
During this and subsequent sessions, a mix of tools and techniques will be used to draw out and explore your
thought processes, beliefs, needs, desires and motivation factors. During this process it is likely that some
searching questions challenging any negative self beliefs may be asked. This is an enlightning experience
which will help you understand what it is that holds you back. Once you have this knowledge, moving forward
is much easier.
Support will be given to enable you to formulate and set your own goals and measure ongoing progress.
What can Personal Coaching help with?
Personal Coaching can help with many areas of your life, for example you may:
- Have recently been made redundant or are facing redundancy and trying to work out what to do next.
- Be stuck in a rut and looking for change or to take a new direction in your life
- Be looking to improve your work/life balance
- Be considering a job or career change but lack direction.
- Be looking to meet new people or take up a new pursuit or hobby
This is dependent upon each individual and his/her specific requirements however generally Personal Coaching
usually lasts for an average of 4-6 sessions of 1 hour each. As Personal Coaching covers your life as a whole this
gives time for ongoing discussion and feedback and to implement any actions or changes. Sessions are normally
two weeks apart however everyone has different needs and commitments and this can be flexed to suit.
If during a session it is considered appropriate, elements of NLP can be utilised. Sometimes however it will be
better to schedule a separate NLP & Hypnosis session to allow sufficient time to fully focus on that specific
requirement.
